Fluidization
Fluidization technology is found in many industries including petrochemical, power generation, drying, polymer production, environmental cleaning and scrubbing operations. Fluidized beds have many advantages including uniform temperature distribution, continuous operation, high mass transfer rates between gas/liquid and solids phases, robustness to feed solid properties and relative simplicity in geometric configuration for large scale operation.
At Coanda we have significant experience with vessel scale up, modelling and validation. We are also experienced in modeling multi-phase flow systems using computational fluid dynamics which, when used in conjunction with experimental data, can provide sophisticated tools for vessel scale up and trouble shooting.
