Jet and Spray Nozzle Design
Many processes require the rapid injection of a fluid and/or gas into a pipe, vessel or ambient surroundings. The effectiveness with which the initial dispersion occurs depends to a great extent on the design of the nozzle or injector. Coanda has worked on a wide range of problems ranging from catalyst injectors in polymerization reactors, to the injectors found in methanol dehydrators used in natural gas power valve systems. These studies generally consider factors such as entrainment, dilution, droplet size distribution and penetration depth.
